Will Visited by Hillary, Jordania Threatened Bombing

AMMAN - The Embassy of the United States (U.S.) claimed to have information if there is a threat of danger which targets around the port city of Aqaba. But the claim is rejected Jordanian Government.

"We have reliable information if the threat of danger in the region of Aqaba," the Embassy statement on their website.

Furthermore, the U.S. Embassy asked officials to report first if you want to go to Aqaba, at least during the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, the embassy also warned their citizens living in the city harbor.

The warning was issued in the midst of a planned visit by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Jordan, to have a meeting with King Abdullah II. Parties to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the U.S. itself does not ensure the warning is the beginning of the Clinton plan.

"We think that this warning will not affect the Clinton visit to Jordan," said a spokesman for the U.S. Kemenlu Philip Crowley, are like quoted by AFP on Thursday (16/09/2010).

Meanwhile, Communications Minister Ali Ayed dismissed the warning. According to security conditions in his country was stable, including also in Aqaba.
